Instant Pot Garbanzo Beans
2 cups dry garbanzo beans
2 tablespoon salt
Water
Place the dry garbanzo beans, 1 tablespoon of salt and 4 cups of water in a large bowl.
Soak overnight or at least 8 hours. Rinse with water and drain. Pour the garbanzo beans
into the Instant Pot. Add 6 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of salt. Close the lid and
turn the steam release handle to the SEALING Position. Select PRESSURE COOK and adjust
the time to 10 minutes of cooking time. Pressure Cook the beans. When it is done, wait
another 10 minutes before venting. Using a large spoon turn the steam release handle to
the VENTING Position. Once it is done venting, open the lid and carefully drain the
water. Use the cooked beans or store for later.
